Kitchenless

It's going on one month without a fully functioning kitchen and the refurbishing is just going to start tomorrow. What a pain. As it happens, March has been a crazybusy month for me and it's going out like a lion. I have tons of papers to grade for 2 classes.

What classes, you say? And why? To answer the last question first, way back in 2000, I decided to see if I could land a job as a college instructor. I had been trying to figure out a way to earn extra money. Thanks to some fortuitous information from a friend at work who was the first pioneer into this gig, I found myself applying for a job teaching at University of Phoenix. I got the job and got a class a few months later. After doing that I decided to see if I could snooker the local community college into hiring me. I must say, that interview was terrifying in its own way. But...surprise! I got the job and have been teaching one class of sociology every semester since...except for one fall semester when I was recouping from an exploded appendix...but that's for another post & time.

So, this month is one of those masochistic co-inky-dinkys that finds me teaching at both places. Hence, the tons of papers to grade.

And the kitchen will still be unworking.....
